June Hylton Ferguson

Mrs. June Hylton Ferguson, 95, passed away July 21, 2013 at Salemtowne Retirement Community. She was born August 22, 1917 in Floyd County, VA to the late Sherman Wakeman Hylton and Lenora Ellen Hylton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Ferguson in April 1987. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. She graduated from Buffalo Mountain High School as Valedictorian class of 1934. She is survived by her children, Ann Hylton Ferguson Boles and husband William ""Bill"" Paris Boles of Clemmons and Ira Denson Ferguson of Lake Okeechohee, FL; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Boles Blankenship and husband Kevin of Lewisville, Caroline Fay Boles Johnson and husband Matt of Monroe, and Amy Ferguson. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Paul Dean officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Mt. Airy. Memorials may be made to Salemtowne Residents Assistance Fund, 1000 Salemtowne Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Salemtowne Healthcare Center for their years of love and compassionate care.
