Our dear sweet mother, June Maytoka Brincefield Crummett, went peacefully to be with the angels on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. June was born to Robert and Stella Hartness Brincefield on January 21, 1929 in Statesville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, the United Methodist Minister, William C. Crummett. Surviving are her two sons, Bill and wife Elaine of Statesville, NC and Bob and wife Gerri Dee of Winston-Salem, NC; four grandchildren, Kristen, Cameron, Hope, and Jonathan. June's siblings include Clyde (Mary) and Jim (Fay) Brincefield, Clara Huff, Doris Pierce and Lynda (Harold) McKinney; along with numerous nieces and nephews. June Crummett graduated from Mitchell College before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Reverend William C. Crummett on November 4, 1950. June worked at North Carolina Baptist Hospital as the Senior Chief Executive Administrative Assistant to the president of the hospital for 32 years. June was a loyal wife to her husband Bill and a loving mother and grandmother. After retirement, Mrs. Crummett volunteered for the hospital wherever she was requested and spent years making hats for newborn infants. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, and doll collecting. June was an active member of Ardmore United Methodist Church as well as various clubs at Arbor Acres Methodist Retirement Community where she spent her final years. Funeral services will be held at Ardmore United Methodist Church on Hawthorne Road, Saturday, June 30, 2012 with music beginning at 10:45 a.m. and the service starting at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jock Ollis and the Rev. Lisa Tanico officiating. The interment will take place at Iredell Memorial Gardens in Statesville, North Carolina following the service. In lieu of flowers, in June's honor, the family requests that donations be made to The Forsyth County Humane Society, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104; Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S.
