June Beasley Baise, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, surrounded by her family at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on June 27, 1933, in Bailey, NC to James Oscar and Elma (Eatmon) Beasley. She graduated from Garner High School in 1951. After high school, she graduated from Rex Hospital School of Nursing in Raleigh where she became a registered nurse. She went on to graduate from the first pilot program for Family Nurse Practitioners at UNC Chapel Hill and achieved her B.S. in Professional Arts from St. Joseph's College in Standish, ME. June was the first O.B. Supervisor at Memorial Hospital of Wake County and Wilson Memorial Hospital in Wilson. She retired from Yadkin Co. Health Department in 1998. June was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and was active in evangelism, jail ministries and the church choir. She also served as treasurer of The American Legion Auxiliary, Post 55. June was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald ""Don"" Baise; two children, Donna Leggette (Len) and Mitchell Baise (Allison); four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ken Beasley (Rachel). A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 10:00am at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 6:00-8:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
