Mr. Julius Clark ""J.C."" Rierson, age 77 of Rural Hall passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Rierson was born July 17, 1935 in Forsyth County to Julius John and Mildred Mozelle Hauser Rierson. J.C. was a member of the First Baptist Church of King. He enjoyed flying, playing music, singing and his bird dogs. J.C. was considered around his friends as an expert shooter when it came to bird hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and fellow hunters. Surviving are his wife of 30 years of marriage, Lorena Rierson of the home; two daughters, Gail (Bob) Howell of VA and Cindy Rierson of FL.; one son, Tony Rierson of King; three step-sons: Byron (Denise) Marler of Lexington, Steve (Polly) Marler of Winston-Salem and David Marler of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren: Bobby and Amanda Howell, Lori M. Garris, Crystal M. Smith, Justin Marler and Jessica M. Agner; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Rierson will be held Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of King by Dr. John Wren and Pastor Ken Evans. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in King, NC. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of King on Wednesday from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M.
