KERNERSVILLE-Julius Jackson Clay, died Wednesday, April 08, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. There will never be anyway to thank the nurses, nurse's assistants, and doctors for all the love and care that they gave to my daddy; Judy More, Carmen and Julie, and the staff that cared for daddy in room #19. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Stutts Clay; a daughter, Sarah Oldham; and a son Kenneth Clay. Survivors include, a daughter, Nancy Smith; a loving son-in-law, Jack Smith who had the pleasure of Daddy's company in our home for 3 ½ years; a son, Douglas Clay and wife Carol of Supply; ten grandchildren, Cindy Adkins (Duck), Jack Smith (Jill Clodfelter), Brian Smith (Cindy), Tracy Crockett (James), Doug Clay, Jr., Mike Clay, Jeff Clay, Susan Allred, Shane Oldham, and Kerry Oldham; a brother, Moses Clay; 11 great- grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Valley View Baptist Church on Old Valley School Rd. with the Rev. Wayne Nelson and the Rev. Jeff Broadstreet officiating. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
