Despite having to fight an 11-year battle with cancer, Julie Ann Kimball left her earthly home on Saturday, October 1, 2011, to dance in the presence of her heavenly Father, never having lost faith, never having lost hope, and never failing to live in love for others. Julie was born on May 30, 1964 in Athens, Georgia, daughter of Robert and Sue Frank who preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Tom; son, Kurt; and daughter, Laura. Also surviving are her brother, Ron Frank (Kimberly); her father and mother-in-law, Roger and Mitzie Kimball; a sister-in-law, Vicki Minard (Dan); two brothers-in-law, Mike (Carolyn) and Ted Kimball; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and precious friends. A service celebrating Julie's life will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Pine Chapel Moravian Church, with the Rev. James Demby officiating. The family will be available for visitation one hour before the service at the church. Interment will precede the service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Salem Moravian Graveyard in Old Salem. Memorials may be sent to Pine Chapel Moravian Church, 324 Goldfloss Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127, or to Be-in-Health, 4178 Crest Hwy, Thomaston, GA 30286. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Forsyth Medical Center 9th Floor West for their patient and loving care of Julie during her long hospital stay.
