It is with great sadness that the family of Julie Foster Hedrick announce her passing on November 29 at the age of 48 due to complications from bile duct cancer.
Julie was born in Winston Salem to Frank Ashley and Becky Foster on May 12, 1975. She grew up in the Rolling Green neighborhood in Clemmons and graduated from West Forsyth High School with the class of 1993. She continued her education at Appalachian State and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught elementary reading for several years in the Davie County School System before joining her husband at Northwestern Mutual where she was instrumental in managing the business operations.
Julie was a warm, friendly and loving person that made everyone she met feel at ease. Her smile would light up a room and her laugh was contagious. She took life in stride and always had an optimistic outlook. She attended Open Door Baptist Church in Lexington with her family and where she was active in the church community. Her faith in God and love for her family was an inspiration.
Julie is survived by her loving husband of 23 years J. Brent Hedrick and their three children Samuel, Eli and Miriam whom she adored and loved more than words could express.
