Julia Elizabeth Mabe Ziglar

Mrs. Julia Elizabeth Mabe Ziglar, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Julia was born in Forsyth County on September 15, 1938, to the late Ernest Matthew Mabe, Sr. and Essie Elizabeth Sain Mabe. She was a member of Oak Grove Moravian Church. Julia was an avid gardener and lover of flowers. She always looked forward to the Spring season and all of the beautiful colors that came with that time of year. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Marvin Lee Ziglar; one son, Dion Kelly Ziglar; one sister, Delores Spillman; and one brother, Ernest Mabe, Jr.. She is survived by her son, Randal Lee Ziglar and wife, Melene of Simi Valley, CA; one daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Ziglar Leonard and husband, Joe of Aiken, SC; two granddaughters, Julia Young and husband, Frank of Aiken, SC and Allison Sease and husband, Trevor of Lexington, SC; and three great-grandchildren, Brett Young, Drake Young, and Clare Young. Graveside services at Oak Grove Moravian Church Graveyard will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Oak Grove Moravian Church, 120 Hammock Farm Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mrs. Ziglar.
