Julia Torres Cruz

Mrs. Julia Torres Cruz, 91 of Winston-Salem, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born April 20, 1917 in Puerto Rico to the late Concepcion and Francisca Rivera Torres. One son, Felix Cruz, Jr. and one daughter, Myrtelina Cruz Dixon preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Felix O. Cruz of the home; five grandchildren, Margarita Dixon of Huntersville, Christopher Dixon of Ohio, Jeffrey Dixon of Winston-Salem, Justine Zavaglia of New Jersey and Michael Paul Cruz of Florida; six great grandchildren, Matthew, Joseph, Michael, Michaela, Gillian and Jimmy; one sister, Rosa Torres and a son-in-law, Robert V. Dixon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church by Father Michael Buttner. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
