Julia Bobbitt

Mrs. Julia Leftwich Bobbitt, 61, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Surry County on July 16, 1961 to the late Robert Franklin and Patsy Patterson Leftwich.  Julia attended Old Town Baptist Church and worked at Womble, Bond, Dickinson Law Firm.  She absolutely loved the beach and warm sunny days and used to kid that she was part lizard.  Julie dearly loved the cats she got to call her babies throughout the years and doted on them endlessly.  She loved fiercely and with all her heart those near and dear to her.  Surviving is her husband of 24 years, Scott Bobbitt; brother, Pat Leftwich (Sandy) of Burlington; two nieces, Lauren Bernards (Ross) and Natalie Westmoreland (Cody) and a great-nephew, Ryker and great-niece, Ellery.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023, at Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Airy with Pastor Rick Speas officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 prior to the graveside service at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
