Judy Smith Manuel

WINSTON-SALEM - Judy Smith Manuel, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 31, 1947 in Forsyth County to Clyde Clarence and Annie Reece Smith. Judy retired from Belk, Inc. and was also a Hairdresser. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillian Justice and Charlotte Faye Smith; and brothers, Carl C. Smith, Thomas L. Smith, James C. Smith and Chalma M. Smith; She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Reed Manuel; sisters, Doris McDaniel (Ralph), Jeanette Huffman (Lowell), Joyce Gail Lee (Nelson) and Margaret Gilbert; a brother, Thurman J. Smith (Kaye); brother-in-law, Reid Snyder; step-children, Ken Manuel (Judy), Jane Starbuck (Philip) and Ralph Manuel (Donna); five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering of family and friends, Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank the entire staff of KBR Hospice Home for their care, love and unending support.
