Judy Ann Burchette Hughes

Mrs. Judy Ann Burchette Hughes, age 75, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2016. Judy was born February 26, 1941 in Wilkes County to the late Glenn and Frances Burchette. She was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church for many years, serving as a Sunday school teacher of the 12 year old girl's class. In addition, she was a faithful member of the choir. Judy was a Physician's Assistant and enjoyed nursing for over 40 years. She loved helping people and especially her patients. She enjoyed cooking and baking in her spare time when not working or being at church. In addition to her parent's Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin ""Frank"" Delano Hughes and one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hughes. She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Hughes and one brother Kent C. Burchette (Rosie) from North Wilkesboro, N. C. Funeral services for Judy will be conducted Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Woodland Baptist Church in Winston-Salem by Rev. Tim Gammons. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 12:00 until 1:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
