Judy Lambeth Franklin

Mrs. Judith ""Judy"" Lambeth Franklin, 67, of Oak Island, N.C. formerly of Winston-Salem went to be with our Lord Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 9, 1942 in Forsyth County to Thomas Houston and Mary (Nettie) Ireland Lambeth. She was retired from Piece Goods Shop Offices. After her retirement she worked at the Oak Island Senior Center. Judy enjoyed spending time on the beach at Oak Island, especially fishing, adopting sea turtle nests and fun and games on the beach at the Oak Island Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Lee Franklin. Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Franklin of Oak Island, N.C., and Teena Franklin of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Wally Lambeth (Lenice) and Wayne Lambeth (Joanie); several nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Lehoma Goode officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oak Island Senior Center, 5918 E. Oak Island Drive, Oak Island, N.C. 28465.
