Judy McMichael Bowman

Walkertown – Judy McMichael Bowman, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was born on August 21, 1942, in Forsyth County, NC to Charlie and Ruby Venable McMichael. As a living embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman, Judy was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and enjoyed singing His praises through gospel music. She was a wonderful wife, a devoted mother, loved her cat and dog, and was always willing to lend an ear or give advice, when needed. Judy had many friends and would do anything to help anyone. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Gray Bowman, Sr.; and two sons, David Gray Bowman Jr., and Charlie Ray Bowman. 

Judy is survived by her daughter, Ruby Pope, her husband, David; two grandchildren, Adam Pope, his wife, Amy, and Ashley Pope; six grandchildren, Cheyenna, Austin, Avery, Jace, Aria, and Slater; three sisters, Bonnie McMichael and her husband Perry, Wanda Arnder, and Susie Hartman; and many special friends who know who they are.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Gardens of Memory-Walkertown Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Steve Roberson officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
