Judy Collins Bell

Mrs. Judy Collins Bell passed away Sunday morning February 5, 2012. She was born on April 16, 1950 in Surry County to the late Grady Lee and Evelyn Adams Collins. Judy was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. She was Manager and instrumental in the development of the Wound Center of Forsyth Medical Center. She worked with Novant Health for 40 years. Judy was a member and past state officer of the Eastern Star, where she was the North Carolina State representative to Canada. Judy particularly enjoyed UNC Basketball and was very fond of former coach Dean Smith and current coach Roy Williams. She is preceded in death by brother Gary Lee Collins. Judy is survived by husband John C. Bell, Jr.; brother Mike Collins and wife Paula; sister Carolyn Simmons and Zack; sister in law Bonnie G. Collins; two nephews; three great nephews; a great niece; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Lewisville Baptist Church with Dr. Don Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday February 6, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Lewisville Baptist Church 125 Lewisville Clemmons Rd, Lewisville, NC27023 or Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Chris Clark, Shirley Matthews, and Cheryl Schwab for their amazing care to Judy.
