Ms. Judith Carol Roberson, 79, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born in Pound, VA on August 18, 1940, to the late James Shelton Roberson and Irene Williams Roberson.  Ms. Roberson retired from Sara Lee Corporation with 20 years of dedicated service in Customer Service.  She was a faithful member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church.  She loved her church family dearly and they loved her.  Ms. Roberson was a fierce patriot who loved her country and passionately supported veterans, law enforcement, and emergency responders.  She was an avid supporter of The Little Theater of Winston-Salem.  She took great pleasure in assisting with behind the scenes production and building sets.  Ms. Roberson was a talented musician and accomplished piano and organ player.  Before her declining health, she was an avid tennis player.  She and her sister enjoyed playing tennis together.  Ms. Roberson loved animals and was a loving supporter of the Humane Society.  She had a special place in her heart for rescuing cats.  Ms. Roberson was compassionate in her convictions and was not afraid to share her opinion.  She was proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed several trips to Scotland with her siblings.  Ms. Roberson was so happy her family was able to come visit with her at her home a couple weeks ago.  She absolutely loved her family and she will be greatly missed.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Roberson was preceded in death by her sister, Donna and her brother, David.  She is survived by two sons, James Michael Bragg and David Anthony Bragg; four grandchildren: Austin, Travis, Tabatha, and Kendra; her aunt, Irene, whom she loved as a sister; special neighbors and cherished friends: Howard, Kathy, and Gail; and numerous extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.  The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Roberson’s church family, especially Evelyn, and to the many family and friends who helped her.  There will be a Celebration of Life service to honor Ms. Roberson at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church, 1024 Volunteer Road, King, NC 27021 or to The Little Theater of Winston-Salem, 419 N. Spruce Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
