Judith "Judy" Hoots Kennedy

Ms. Judith “Judy” Hoots Kennedy,77, of Clemmons, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2024, after courageously battling a lengthy illness. Judy was born in Winston-Salem on June 30, 1947, to the late Robert G. Hoots and Betty T. McDaniel. Judy was a member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church and worked for Western Electric/BellSouth, retiring after many years of service from AT&T. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Benny Hoots. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Hellard (Matt); two grandchildren, Courtney Miller (Anthony) and Jakob Hellard (Anna); and her great-grandson who was the joy of her life, Owen Miller. She cherished the time spent with Owen and loved telling everyone about his young life and accomplishments, which gave her abundant joy. She is also survived by her wonderful sister-in-law, Bonnie Hoots and many lifelong friends and other relatives. Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
