Judith Ann Welborn Conte, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born to the late Dwight Welborn and Dixie Binkley Horton on January 22, 1941, in Forsyth County.
Judy was known as a generous, loving, and giving woman. She was the type of friend to always lend a helping hand. She spent her free time with her quilting group that met every Friday to make quilts for the local shelters. Judy served her church in numerous church titles and was a choir member with a beautiful voice. She loved her family and most of all, God with her whole heart.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Conte; and sister, Becky Adams.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy Houser (Dale); 17 grandchildren, Ashley Houser, Steven Houser (Yvonne), Jenna McCall (Kurt), Jeffrey Houser, Haley Kahn (Osman), Dawna Gambino (Jon), Kaitlyn Houser, Savanna Houser, Dylan Houser (Summer), Dakota Houser, Ezekiel Houser (Shasta), Elijah Houser, Noah Houser, Micah Houser, Makiah Houser, Makayla Houser, and Mia Houser; 18 great-grandchildren; best friend of 64 years, Martie Boles; brother, Daniel Welborn (Deborah); niece, Katye Welborn; and sister, Debbie Mills.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Winston-Salem First Assembly of God. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
