Judith Ann Shirey Hanrahan Briggs

Proud mother of five, survived by her brother Richard and four of her children, Terrence, Elizabeth, Regina and Kevin and seven grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Joshua, Devin, Dana, Connor and Samantha and seven great-grandchildren Gavin, Kyli , Rosalie, Michael, Bethany, Maxwell, and Madyson. Born in Columbus Ohio, graduate of South High School and former resident of Southern California and most recently Walkertown NC, passed contentedly on Dec. 23, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Remembered by her children for displaying the value of determination, stamina, and self-reliance. Judie shared her love of the outdoors and exploring sights unseen and imparted a profound sense of integrity and fairness upon those whose lives she touched. She met life's challenges with a strident sense of humor, occasional irreverence and an ability to smile in the face of adversity. Her resolute determination, creativity and immeasurable sacrifice taught us what is required to prosper in this world. Mom inspired us all. Cheers to our favorite dead person!
