Mrs. Juanita Sacray Weisner, 91, of 3812 Forest Gate Drive, Winston-Salem, died at her home early Sunday morning. She was born May 27, 1923 in Iredell County to the late Robert Lee and Lenora Rash Sacray. Her father passed away that same year and she was raised by her mother and loving step-father Thomas Wilson ""E"" Critz of Hamptonville, NC. Juanita attended Mitchell College in Statesville, NC. She was married for over 50 years to the late James Lee Weisner, a local home builder and real estate broker. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Kelly, son Robert Lee Weisner and wife Robin and son Larry James Weisner and wife Patti, all of Winston-Salem. She adored her six grandchildren; Ashley (Jim) Carros, Mark (Liz) Kelly, Amy (James) Cole, Brian (Cindy) Weisner, Crystal Weisner and Ryan Weisner. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; Cole and Ethan Carros, Emily and Marcus Kelly and Grace and Cate Weisner.
Mrs. Weisner will be remembered as a loving, caring and thoughtful wife, mother and friend. She was a long time member of Southside Baptist Church where she played the piano, sang in the choir and served as the flower committee chairman for many years. She loved flowers and was a member of the Olde Salem Garden Club. She was presently a member of Knollwood Baptist Church. She was an active community volunteer, Sunday school teacher and PTA President. She had a beautiful smile that expressed her love for others and especially loved cooking for her family.
They family will receive friends from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at New Prospect Baptist Church in Statesville, N.C. Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
