Juanita Hicks

Juanita Jackson Hicks, 92, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on January 15, 2021. She was born on February 28, 1928 to John Lafayette Jackson and Mattie Lee Hunter Jackson in Surry County. Juanita enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday School in her younger years. She retired from J.C. Penny’s where she worked as a sales associate. Surviving are her two children, Steve Hicks (Alicia) and Kelly Hicks; one grandchild; three step-grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
