Juanita Thomas Church

Juanita Thomas Church, 85, passed away October 25, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 21, 1927 to Malinda Lancaster and Josiah Ananias Thomas in Floyd County, VA. Juanita grew up in Virginia where she graduated from Floyd County High School in the class of 1946. She later attended Bridgewater College. Juanita will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Alvin Grant Church; 3 sons, Wayne Church (Sue) of Morehead City, NC, Bradford D. Church (Becky) of Stoney Point, NC, David T. Church (Jennifer) of Advance, NC; and one daughter, Diane C. Morphy of Snellville, GA; as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Don Griffin officiating.
