J.P. Vestal

WINSTON-SALEM, NC--- Mr. J. P. Vestal, 78, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 01, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. J.P. was born in Bristol, Tennessee to John and Beatrice Strouts Vestal. Mr. Vestal was employed with Royal Cake Company and retired with 25 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. J.P. also thoroughly enjoyed playing golf and going on cruises with his wife. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vestal is preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janice Vestal of the home; two sons, J.P. Vestal, Jr. (Debra) of Ashboro, NC, and Michael Wayne Vestal (Gerry) of Trinity, NC; one step-daughter, Leanda Prince of Walkertown, NC; two stepsons, Timothy McGuire (Christy) and Joey McGuire (Christy) of Tennessee; one sister, Patsy Tolbert of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Richard Morning officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
