Joyce Ramsey

Mrs. Joyce Norris Ramsey, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  She was born April 5, 1936 in Hampton, TN to the late Ray Norris and Jennie Simerly Norris.  Joyce was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and spent as much time as she could in the nursery, which was one of her favorite places.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Ramsey and four sisters: Lois Hill, Georgia Hill, Belle Hyder, and Ruth Teague.  Mrs. Ramsey is survived by her son, Bobby Ramsey (Becky); two special grandchildren, Jordan and Lauren Ramsey; and two special nieces, Terri Berry (Mark) and Margaret Deloach (Louis).  A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, January 25 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bush officiating.  Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.  The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
