Joyce Soyars Hancock

Kernersville - Mrs. Joyce Soyars Hancock, 70, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at High Point Regional Health System. Mrs. Hancock was born February 24, 1940 in Pittsylvania Co. VA to the late Grover and Elsie Ayers Soyars. Joyce battled cancer for many years with declining health, and loved her husband, children and grandchildren deeply. Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by a son Bryan Hancock and a grandson Zachary Hancock. Surviving is her husband of 49 years Odell Hancock Jr., one daughter Angie Boyer and husband Chuck, two sons Greg Hancock and wife Teresa and Chris Hancock and wife Jennifer, four grandchildren Nicholas, Tiffani and Jessica Hancock and Reagan Boyer, two brothers Landon Soyars and William Soyars both of Virginia. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Wilson Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
