Joyce Ross Conner

Kernersville - Mrs. Joyce Ross Conner, 79, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Joyce was born on January 20, 1937 in Delaware to Victor and Minnie Bryant Ross. Joyce was full of life and lit up the room with her smile, always quick to share her sharp wit! Joyce was a faithful and loyal member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church where she was a dedicated greeter at the Sunday services. Her love of music extended to playing the trumpet, the piano, and tap dancing. Joyce played in the church band and VIP Handbells along with playing the piano for services at Arbor Ridge.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jean Sandish and Sharon Ross; and 2 brothers, John and Victor Ross.

Surviving are her daughter, Victoria Joyce ""Vicki"" Conner; her husband, Roland Conner; 5 sisters, Dorothy Myers of Titusville, PA, Kathleen Stutzman of Meadville, PA, Rose Ann Landers of Georgetown, TX, Nancy Ross of Newark, DE, and Sandy Stump of Wyoming, DE; one brother, Charles Ross of Nova Scotia, Canada; 2 ""adopted"" daughters, Lisa N. Chandler and Lindsay Franklin; and her faithful canine companion, Lucy, who never left her side.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
