Joyce Tilghman Boyles

Mrs. Joyce Tilghman Boyles, 85, of Lewisville, NC, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1928 in Lenoir County to K.W. and Bertie Williams Tilghman. Mrs. Boyles was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church for the past 50 years. She loved watching birds and the Atlanta Braves. She also enjoyed working in the garden until her health declined. Mrs. Boyles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alger Boyles; 2 sons, Gary and Bruce; and a host of brothers and sisters. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Sherry Boyles of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Amber Molson and husband Mike of Greensboro, David Boyles and wife Lauren of Kernersville, and Adam Boyles of Wilmington; one sister, Vivian Wade of Georgia; two brothers, Bill and Bob Tilghman of Kinston, NC; two nieces, Roslyn Wade of Ohio, and Glenda Allen of Georgia; and a nephew, Darrell Wade and wife Sherry of South Carolina.
