Joyce Bell

Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Couch Bell, age 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  Joyce was born January 26, 1941, in Wilkes County to the late Otis Couch and Lela Jane Collins Couch.  Joyce met the love of her life, Tony, and spent many years traveling the country and the world with him, loving both the mountains and the beach.  She developed her love of flowers, particularly Orchids, during those trips.  Joyce had retired as a registered nurse working for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital and used her nursing skills over the years ministering to those in need in India and other locations.  She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Joyce and Tony were married for over 56 years and had many friends from church.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Leon.  She is survived by her husband, Tony Haldon Bell; two sons, Jeffrey Bell (daughter-in-law, Julie Bell) and Gregory Bell; her sisters, Lavora Pardue (Henry, dec.) and Janet Cheek (Joe); her brothers, Lanny Couch (Betty) and Larry Couch (Cathy); and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank the many friends known throughout her life, as well as the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church December 28, 2022, at 2:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care Winston-Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103 or Calvary Baptist Church, Attention: Contributions, 134 S.
