Joy Ann Lawson

Walkertown- Ms. Joy Ann “Momma Joy” Lawson, 68, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was born in Surry County, the daughter of Moir and Polly Quesenberry Lawson. She was of the Christian faith and was retired after 30 years of service from Miller Brewing Co. Joy lived on a farm and loved taking care of the animals. She also enjoyed fishing, shopping, the beach and loved to cook for any and everyone she knew. Just being around people brought her immense joy, she never met a stranger and trusted everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Mandy Holloway of Walkertown; her granddaughter, Ava Sidden of Walkertown and her brother, Johnny Lawson of Pilot Mt. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
