Joshua Steven Butler

Joshua Steven Butler, 25, passed away May 17, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born January 3, 1985 in Forsyth County to Jeff D. and Denna Esteppe Butler. Joshua was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. During high school he was involved in the youth and choir program and graduated from Salem Baptist Christian School and was presently involved in the choir ministry. He was a full-time student at UNC Greensboro. Joshua loved playing golf, taking boats out on the lake, and had a great interest in cars. He was a very tender hearted young man and will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his parents, Jeff and Denna Butler of Knoxville, TN; sister, Summer Pierce and husband Jason of Fayetteville, NC; maternal grandparents, Mildred and Waival Esteppe of Blackwater, VA; paternal grandparents, George and Lotus Butler of Duffield, VA; great-grandmother, Rozella Bloomer of Blackwater, VA; also surviving is his best friend, Dustin Millirons of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Hollins, Rev. Larry Harrison, and Pastor Al Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends 4:30 - 6:30 PM prior to the service at the church. The family also will receive friends at Thomas Village Baptist Church in Duffield, VA from 3:00 - 5:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2010 with committal to follow at Robbins Cemetery in Pattonsville, VA.
