Josephine Walker

Mrs. Josephine Couch Walker, 74, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at her home. She was born on March 27, 1934 to the late Cecil Agustus and Vivian Green Couch. Mrs. Walker was a 1957 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was art director at Hunter Publishing Company and Marketing Director at Krispy Kreme. She did Ad Layout for the Winston-Salem Journal. She was a member of VFW 10471 Ladies Auxiliary and President of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Women's Society. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Dewitt Eugene ""Gene"" Walker; 3 sisters, Mrs. Jeanette C. Barnes of Greensboro, Mrs. Linda Measamer and her husband Bob of Fayetteville, NC, and Mrs. Mary Ruth Hicks of Chattanooga, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Walker; nieces and nephews, Suzanne Parker, Lisa Reichstein, Melinda Dickinson, Jennifer Josephine Stewart, Sandra M. Gamble, Kathelene Draper, Amanda Paris, Rebecca Lucarelli, Montague H. Hicks, III, Alisa Walker Rothrock, Brent T. Walker, Susan Walker Cook, and Brian E. Walker; several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Dewey Griffin and Rev. Neil Routh officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Mt.
