Josephine Tilley King

Mrs. Josephine Tilley King, 67, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 18, 1956, in Forsyth County, the daughter of Junior and Lillie Cody Tilley. A longtime member of Triad Baptist Church, she sang in the choir, served in the children’s ministry and thought of her church as her family. She retired from Maynard & Harris Law Firm, she loved the Lord and loved to cook and cross stitch, she enjoyed being with her family especially her numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 45 years, Thomas Edward King. Survivors include her son, Joseph King of Kernersville; a sister Betty Broadstreet of Belews Creek; a brother, Earl Junior Tilley (Jenny) of Belews Creek and her friend, who was like a sister, Jeannie West Chalkley. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Triad Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Decker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
