Joseph Richard Sheets

Joseph Richard Sheets, 21, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1987. He attended Calvary Baptist Church Special Ministries Class and participated in Special Olympics where he received many medals and ribbons. He attended Hanes and Lowrance School and enjoyed all types of music. He was born to glorify the Lord. He had a very gentle spirit and his beloved life touched the lives of many. He is survived by his mother, Grace Sheets Pinkerton and stepfather, Dr. George Pinkerton of Winston-Salem; 2 sisters, Renee Ingle of Stuart, VA and Tina McCray of Kernersville; 3 brothers, T. R. Hiatt of Winston-Salem, Robbie Hiatt of Kernersville and Adam Pinkerton of Lake Norman; his grandmother, Mary Sheets of Winchester, PA; 7 nieces and nephews and a host of aunts and uncles. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff and physicians at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Randy Hillman officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
