Joseph "Robert" "Bob" Maltais

Mr. Joseph Paul Claude Clement “Robert”, “Bob” Maltais, 83, died Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born June 28, 1939, in St. Andre de La Sarre, Quebec, Canada to Eugene Maltais and Alice Harvey Maltais. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Maltais and is survived by his son, Dwaine Maltais and wife Amy; sister-in-law, Bernice Cranford (husband, Jacob, deceased); brother-in-law, Douglas W. Burrow and wife, JoAnn.; several nieces and nephews; and one special person, Darvis Stanley. Robert was also preceded in death by his brother, John Maltais and his sister, Rita Maltais; his brother-in-law James Burrow (wife, Sarah, deceased); his brother-in-law Kenneth Burrow (wife, Rebecca, deceased). He was an electrician and owner of Stokes Hardware and Supply, loved woodworking and spending time with the love of his life, Carolyn Maltais in the Blue Ridge mountains. A graveside memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum in Rural Hall with Don Wallace, Minister officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the charity of the donor's choice.
