Joseph Sherman Petree

Mr. Joseph Sherman Petree, age 80 of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Stokes County, October 18, 1935 to Herbert Sherman Petree and Mary Ollie Lawson Petree. He retired from Western Electric in 1989 and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Petree is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Brown Petree. Two daughters; Cindy (Brian) Lineberry and Susan (Chris) Craver. Two grandsons; Adam and John Lineberry. One sister, Mary Lee Tuttle. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens by Pastor John Holmes. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials may be made to the Marshall Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Petree family.
