Joseph Francis Pencotty

Mr. Joseph Francis Pencotty, 84, a resident of Pfafftown, passed away on February 9, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was the youngest of seven children, born on March 16, 1924 to the late Mary and John Pencotty of Cartaret, NJ. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Joseph attended Southern Methodist University where he earned a Bachelors degree in business. He spent his career working as a sales manager for Diebold, Inc. and in the field of graphic arts. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to North Carolina where he pursued his life-long hobbies of golf, tennis and making friends. He leaves behind, Marthajohn, his loving wife of 61 years; his daughter Lisa and son-in-law, John. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. Friday, February 13 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Dale Harlan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
