Joseph Park

Mr. Joseph Park, 87, passed away June 2, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born August 11, 1925 in Holytown, Scotland to the late Thomas Park and Annie Gilchrist Park. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Mr. Park retired from Chevrolet Engineering after 34 years of service. Subsequent to his retirement he moved to North Carolina to be with his family. He enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch, and spending time with his family. Mr. Park was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Lee Tate. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jane Nowinski Park; a daughter Carolyn Ann Richards (Jim); five grandchildren, Julie Weaver (John), Diane Dougan (Rob), Scott Giganti (Julia), Nicole LaFleur (Jim), and Sondra Giganti (John); seven great-grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, Desiree, Miriah, Quinn, Brett, and Hunter. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway with Fr. Bill Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mt. Clemens, MI.
