Joseph Kepley

Joseph Andrew (Andy) Kepley, 68, of Lewisville, North Carolina, passed away on November 3, 2022, after a lengthy illness.  Andy was born in High Point, North Carolina, on December 12, 1953.  He was predeceased by his parents, W. Worth Kepley and Nancy Kepley, and his brother, Wesley Kepley.  Andy served in the  United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Andy enjoyed fishing at High Rock Lake and Lake Norman, and really loved to fish off the piers at Kure Beach and Topsail Beach.  He loved his family more than anything and nothing made him happier than when the entire family was gathered around him, telling jokes, and laughing.  Andy is survived by his wife, Mitzie Kepley, of the home; son Russell Kepley and wife, Jessica, of Winston-Salem; daughter Lindsey Kepley Cox and husband, Seth, of Boonville, North Carolina, and his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Mackinzie Cox and Madison Cox; a sister, Cindy Kepley Crouse and husband, Randy Crouse, of Lewisville, North Carolina; two nieces, Andrea Crouse of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Julie Crouse, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; his lifetime best friend, Tommy Sharpe, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and his friend who was like a brother,and who helped our family more than he could know, David Carmichael, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  It was Andy's wish that he be cremated and that no service be held.  The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
