Joseph ""Don"" Ingram, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Don was born on September 25, 1941 to Oscar Cicero Ingram and Mozelle Merritt Ingram in Stokes County. Don owned and operated Don's Barbecue Restaurant for 40 years. He loved cooking, gardening and racing. He was a loving husband and father, and he satisfied many customers with his cooking. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, James Ingram and a sister, Dorothy Lane. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Doris Crews Ingram; son, Chris Ingram (Kristina) of King; sisters, Margaret McGee, Ann Shull (Harold); brother, Larry Ingram (Sue); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 13 at Union Tabernacle Church with Brother Don McGee, Rev. Johnny Cameron, and Rev. Larry Easler officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Tabernacle Church, 7271 NC 66 Hwy South, King, NC 27021; or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Way, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
