Joseph Beeson Grubbs

Mr. Joseph ""Beeson"" Grubbs, 81, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth Co. on February 12, 1932 the son of the late Ed and Ola Davis Grubbs. Beeson was a dedicated member of Providence Moravian Church where he served as an Elder and a member of the Board of Trustees. He retired from Thomasville Furniture Co. with 38 years of service. Beeson enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working with his tractors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Hill Grubbs, a sister, Betty Peddle and a brother, Marvin Grubbs. Beeson is survived by a brother, Jerry Lee Grubbs and wife Mary, a sister, Lucille Grubbs, and a special friend, Sandra Moffitt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Providence Moravian Church with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the service at Providence Moravian Church.
