Joseph Covington

Mr. Joseph Alexander “Alec” Covington, 85, of Clemmons, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1935 in Forsyth County. Mr. Covington served in the U.S. National Guard and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He retired from A.L. Williams Financial Services as Senior Vice President. Mr. Covington was a beloved husband and father who had a vibrant, charismatic personality and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Jackie” Heath Covington. Surviving are his two daughters, Susan Covington Carter and Sandra Covington Cairncross along with husband Scott and two grandchildren, Jeremy Cairncross and Melissa MacDougall. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Ron Schuyler officiating. (Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel)
