Joseph "Joe" Brown, Jr

Kernersville - Joseph Ronald Brown, Jr., 25, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Joe was born on March 12, 1992 in High Point, NC to Joseph R. Brown, Sr and Angela G. Brown. Joe was a 2010 graduate of Robert B. Glenn High School and a member at First Christian Church.
He was a devoted son, brother, and friend to many. Joe was always willing to help others and offer his sweet smile - an attribute instilled in him by his parents. Joe's talents were limited only by his imagination! He loved riding motorcycles and was an avid motorcross competitor. He also enjoyed skate-boarding as a teenager and was always ready for the next adventure!
Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harley and Ruth Brown; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Grace Galloway; and one uncle, Roger Kiger.
Surviving are his parents, Joe and Angie Brown; his sister, Heather Lewis (husband, Ricky); a nephew, Ricky Lewis, Jr.; aunts and uncles, Donna Kiger, Linda Blakely (Bobby), Janie Roberson (Mike), and Cindy Griffin; first cousins, Brooke Kiger, Mallie Griffin, Mary Lynn McDowell, and Bobby Blakely; and many other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at First Christian Church in Kernersville with Dr. Pete Kunkle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Home, 1001 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
