Joseph Dean Brock

Joseph Dean Brock, 75, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023.  He was born October 18, 1947, in Duplin County, NC to the late Willie and Docia Ezzelle Brock.  Mr. Brock retired from R.J Reynolds Tobacco Co. after several years of service and was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church.  He was an avid fisherman and was a loving husband for 56 years to his wife, Judy Brock who survives.  Also surviving are a sister, Frances Young; two brothers, John Brock and Allen Brock (Wilma); special niece, Wilma Thomas; several other nieces and nephews and two special friends, Elaine Smith and Michael Smith.  Preceding him in death along with his parents were two brothers, Richard and Edward Brock.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Macedonia Moravian Church with Rev. Zach Dease officiating.  Burial will follow in the church graveyard.  The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church, 700 NC HWY 801 N. Advance, NC 27006.
