Joseph Brandon Blalock

Joseph Brandon Blalock, 28, passed away at home on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was born on May 25, 1989 to his parents Robbie Blalock and Blair Blalock Stevenson and was the light of their life. Brandon was a very loving son, brother, and friend to all. He attended Jefferson Elementary, graduated from Mt. Tabor High School, and later graduated from High Point University with a BA degree in communications. He had a passion for photography, music, film, and was a sports fanatic. Brandon enjoyed playing disc golf and he served as the mascot for High Point University and the Winston-Salem Dash. Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Patsy Klein. Surviving is his father, Robbie Blalock (Martha); mother, Blair Blalock Stevenson; son, Dewey James Blalock; two sisters, Lorie Blalock Baity (Ted) and Misty Blalock Audish (Eric); grandparents, Blake Yokley (Jody); two nieces, Jessica and Jennifer Baity; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Richard Capps officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
