Joseph "Don" Adams

Mr. Joseph Donald ""Don"" Adams, 77, of Wallburg, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Don was born April 13, 1938 in Forsyth County to Mark and Ruth Adams. He graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1957. After graduation, Don joined the U.S. Air Force and then began working with Piedmont Airlines where he worked until his retirement in 2001. Always willing to help others, he was a dedicated volunteer for many years for Meals on Wheels, Hospice, and The Shepherd's Center. Don was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Adams.

Don is survived by his son, Todd Adams and wife Trish of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Tristen, Tanner, and Trent; sister, Gail Adams Thomas; and two special aunts, Willena Moore and Faye Nelson.

A celebration of Don's life will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11 am at New Friendship Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, May 25, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
