Joni Boose Ankeny

Mrs. Joni Boose Ankeny, 47, of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born March 27, 1962 in Forsyth County to Tom and Margaret Coe Boose. Mrs. Ankeny graduated from Reynolds High School in 1980 and obtained a BA degree in Graphic Design from Ringling School of Design. She was owner and operator of Atomic Tangerine, which is an art school for children. Surviving are her husband, Harry C. Ankeny; one son, Carson Thomas Ankeny, both of the home; her parents; one sister, Jennifer Boose and husband John Chandler; and a brother, Ron Boose, all of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Vic Pyles officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
