Jonathan "Johnny" Larrimore

KERNERSVILLE – Jonathan “Johnny” Clyde Larrimore, 62, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at Kernersville Medical Center. Johnny was born in Forsyth County on October 1, 1962 to the late Kenneth Wayne, Sr. and Brenda Green Larrimore. He was a man of great faith and witness. Johnny had a heart for people and was always sharing his sweet smile and ready to help. If you knew him, you loved him. When Johnny wasn’t fixing things or putting his personal touches on a home improvement project, he and his wife, Kelly, were spending time with family. He loved taking his grandkids camping, especially enjoying their vacations at the beach. 

Johnny was a man of great “needs”….. If you needed help, you called Johnny; if you needed encouragement, you called Johnny; if you needed a friend, you called Johnny; If you needed dinner, you called Johnny; if you needed a laugh, you called Johnny; if you needed a ride, you called Johnny; if you needed a faith lesson, you called Johnny; God must’ve needed an angel, so He called Johnny. If you knew him, you loved him and he loved you. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Kelly Crews Larrimore; his daughter, Amanda Meeks (husband, Wayne) and their children, Bailey, Zoey, Kelsey, and “Trey”- Robert Wayne, III; his son, Jonathan Larrimore, II (wife, Layla); one sister, Robin Larrimore; one brother, Kenneth Larrimore, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Buzz Crews (wife, Teresa); and many extended family and friends.

A service to Celebrate his life will be held at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Passion Church, 618 Edgewood St, Kernersville, NC 27284 with Pastor Josh Tufte officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Passion Church, P O Box 35, Kernersville, NC 27285. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
