Johnny Payne

Mr. Johnny Wray Payne, 76, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on December 30, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1946, to the late Alan Payne and Bertha Sizemore Payne. Johnny loved Nascar and fishing. He loved his mother dearly. Johnny had a great sense of humor like no other and will be greatly missed by all his friends. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Richard Payne and Frank Payne. Johnny is survived by his loving soulmate Linda Donley; son Chris Adams; stepdaughters Sandra Puckett and Patricia (Ronnie) Cheek; step-grandchildren Justin (Hailey) Puckett, Kerri (Brooke) Booe, Nikki Layell, and Anthony Layell; step-great grandchildren Sophia Puckett, Eleana Puckett, Joseph Booe Jr., Braelyn Shouse, Trinity Darnell, and Austin Darnell; nephew Ricky (Lisa) Payne; special cousin Jimmy Sizemore; and a very special friend Ronnie Lembreth. A graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park on Wednesday January 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM with ­­­­David Shaw officiating.
