KERNERSVILLE-Johnny Edward Mabe, 57, beloved father, son, brother, pawpaw and friend to all whom he met, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010. He was born May 5, 1952 in Forsyth Co. to Geneva Spach Mabe and the late Winford ""Wince"" Mabe. Mr. Mabe was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by Carolina Telephone for many years. Johnny was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. In addition to his mother of Kernersville, surviving are his two daughters, Sara E. Fletcher and husband Jason, and Erin M. Wolfe and husband J.G. all of Kernersville; his brother, Steve Mabe and wife Pat of Kernersville; his grandson, Tanner Fletcher; and a number of good friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, January 15, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Wilson Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the funeral home.
