Mr. Johnny Hampton Allison, Sr., 59, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County to George and Rebecca Church Jarvis. Mr. Allison was a truck driver for Old Dominion and was an avid golfer and a lover of sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his home was always open to everyone. Preceding him in death was his wife, Shelia Williams Allison; father, George Jarvis; and a sister, Sandra Jarvis. Surviving are two daughters, Mindy Allison-Long and Robin Allison; two sons, Johnny Allison, Jr. (Elizabeth) and Chris Allison; eight grandchildren, Lindsay, Kyrsten, Alexandra, Caleb, Arianna, Camden, Alyssa, AJ ""Bubby""; mother, Rebecca Church Jarvis; sister, Becky Phillips (Thomas); brother, Terry Jarvis (Judy); also surviving are his beloved friends, Donnie, Becky, Milford, and his work family. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2011 at Bixby Church of Living God with Rev. Linda Hutchins and Mr. Jerold Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
